The Peters Township Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the township and surrounding communities for over 70 years.  Founded by community residents in 1937.

Peters Township provides residents with fire protection from two fire station locations.  Station #1 is located on E. McMurray Road and Station #2 is located off of Bebout and Sugar Camp Roads.  

Peters Township Fire Department is a combination department with 13 career staff and 20 volunteers that provide fire protection coverage 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  We are equipped with 9 emergency apparatus including 3 pumpers, a aerial ladder, a rescue truck and BLS and ALS squads.   We also specialize in providing other emergency response, including confined space and trench rescue, and we have a dive and Rapid Intervention Team.

Burning Ordinance
Residents are permitted to burn limbs and branches, but no leaves.  Burning times are limited to Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
